I have now had Tachus Fiber Internet for about four months now and I am just as happy with it as I was after it was freshly installed!
I opted to pay a little extra for the HomePass Mesh system (totally worth it, in my opinion) and it has a feature where you can set it to automatically check the upload/download speeds each day. I enabled it so I can get an idea of the consistency of the delivered speeds. Coming from Xfinity, I was used to wild speed fluctuations from day to day, minute to minute. That’s just how cable internet is. Not so with Tachus.
Tachus has been overwhelmingly consistent, and I have been averaging 314 Mbps on the upload and download sides. For reference, I signed onto the 300 Mpbs plan as that fits my usage needs.
It is awesome to get what you paid for and then some. Kind of like getting bacon you weren’t expecting on your cheeseburger.
Here are the last 30 days of upload and download speeds, as reported by the app. You will see a couple of dates with no data (power was knocked out during storms so no test occurred) and a couple of days with low speeds which were due to scheduled maintenance (Tachus emailed a heads up that was going to happen.) It is also worth noting that the tests on fast.com and speedtest.net match the app as well!
Go get you some reliable internet! Make sure to use my Tachus promo code so you get a free month of service (and me, too! 😜) If you would rather not click a link, you may copy and paste this: xxxxx
